Our Choral Programs
The Manchester High School choral programs boast upward of 85 years of tradition. We pride ourselves on students' musical excellence, tenacity, and sense of community. Our programs are directed by Miss Carina Rosa and fall under the MHS Performing Arts and Communications Academy.

Chorus
The MHS Chorus is a curricular ensemble. Students with any level of musical experience may join for the potential of CP or Honors credit. The Chorus performs at numerous school events throughout the winter and spring semesters. They also have opportunities for enrichment as the department organizes trips to concerts and performances, such as the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
Roundtable Singers
The Roundtable Singers are MHS' premiere chamber vocal ensemble. This has been a cherished gem within the Manchester community for 85 years, boasting a proud and passionate alumni network. This auditioned group meets twice a week after school and rehearses to perform at multiple school and community events throughout the year. This ensemble tours every other year to compete in festival competitions with students from around the country.

Students must be enrolled in Chorus to join Roundtable Singers.
Jazz Choir
Jazz Choir is an auditioned extracurricular ensemble. This group can be co-ed or entirely treble depending on the demands of the year. They also perform in annual festivals and competitions alongside the Roundtable Singers.

Handbell Choir
Manchester High School hosts one of the few public school Handbell Choirs in the state of Connecticut. This extracurricular ensemble is open to all students regardless of their musical experience and competes in competitions and festivals alongside the Chorus, Roundtable Singers, and Jazz Choir. The MHS Handbell Choir has been recognized on both the state and national stage, receiving high honor rankings every year.
Tri-M Music Honor Society
While not a choir-specific group, MHS' chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society is run by leaders within our music ensembles. It is open to rising Sophomores through Seniors who must apply and receive a peer nomination/recommendation to be considered. The Tri-M Music Honor Society honors music students who are leaders in their groups and work to support music-making in our community by designing and implementing a variety of service projects. Applications open in the Spring for Fall induction.
